Stacking The Shelves/Showcase Sunday (6)

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews.
Showcase Sunday is a meme hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea.

Stacking the Shelves and Showcase Sunday make a place to showcase your new books,
whether you obtained them through the post or otherwise.

I finally got my hands on a copy of Black Dawn this week and a review copy at that! I am so excited to read this as I am a huge fan of the Morganvilles Vampires series. I was absolutely thrilled to receive a copy of Gin O'Clock too! I absolutely love The Queen [of Twitter] and have found the tweets through the jubilee to be especially hilarious, so I can imagine I'll be hysterical while reading this one! There is a film adaptation of The Hobbit coming out later this year and I received 1 copy of The Hobbit to read and several others to give away, so watch out for that! I also received Shift by Kim Curran and would like to thank Natalie Smothers for providing me with a copy of her book, Plans. I also received a beautiful new re-release of Mary Hooper's Velvet.

I splashed out on a copy of Gone, Gone, Gone this week as it looks absolutely incredible and I just couldn't resist for any longer! I also found a hardcopy of Beauty Queens for less than £3 and as it's been on my wish list for ages, I couldn't resist that, either!

I didn't make any swaps this week, but I did win and receive one book and that was Immortal City by Scott Speer.

  2. I adore that cover of The Hobbit! I loved Shift, have that one on my shelf. Velvet I liked but I felt that it stopped when it should have started getting going, like there was chapters missing. I hate that feeling. :'(
